Introduction

Let’s make your Easter celebration more creative and joyful with laser-marked ceramic mugs.

Laser marking can add detailed designs, festive artwork, or personalized style to vibrant green ceramic mugs, making them suitable for Easter parties, themed gifts, table settings, or special keepsakes.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to clamp the ceramic mug with a rotary accessory, import the marking file, set the correct focus, frame the design, and complete a personalized Easter ceramic mug with Aurora Lite.

Before your work begins

Make sure the machine is connected and operating normally
Remove the lens cover before marking
Use a rotary accessory to keep the ceramic mug stable and level
Set the rotary axis parameters correctly before processing

Operational Process

STEP01

Prepare & Clamp the Ceramic Mug

Because the mug is cylindrical, use a rotary accessory to keep it steady during laser marking.

Prepare the adapted rotary, connect it to the machine, and clamp the ceramic mug securely. Make sure the mug is steady and level before marking, as this is important for clean alignment and consistent results.

STEP02

Import & Adjust the Marking File

Load the Easter design into LightBurn software, then adjust the size and position to fit the ceramic mug.

Check the laser marking parameters and rotary axis settings carefully. Correct rotary setup helps the design wrap around the mug surface accurately.

STEP03

Set the Correct Laser Focus

Missing the focus is one of the biggest reasons for laser marking failure. Make sure the ceramic mug surface is properly focused before processing.

You can use auto focus or manual focus. When the focus is accurate, the marked details will appear cleaner and more consistent on the curved ceramic surface.

Frame the Design & Start Laser Marking

Press the frame button and check whether the red light indicates the correct marking area. The frame should be located in the middle of the mug.

If the frame is not aligned, adjust the design position until it fits correctly. After checking, close the laser door and begin the Aurora Lite laser marking process.

Post Processing

Stay near the machine during operation and monitor for unusual sounds or alarms. Avoid looking directly at the laser beam for too long, even when protective measures are in place.

Once laser marking is complete, carefully open the door and remove the ceramic mug from the rotary. Clean it gently before using it for parties, gifts, or display.
