Before your work begins

Operational Process
STEP01
Prepare & Position the Cork Coaster
Place the cork coaster flat on the laser bed and make sure the engraving surface is clean and stable.
Secure the coaster if needed so it does not shift during engraving. The design should also be adjusted according to the actual type and size of the material before processing.
STEP02
Import & Adjust the Design File
Import the cork coaster design file into LightBurn, then adjust the size, position, and engraving settings according to the cork surface.
Check that the pattern, reminder, or custom text is placed within the desired engraving area before starting the laser job.
STEP03
Set the Correct Laser Focus
Accurate focusing is important for clean engraving on cork.
If your machine has auto focus, use it for quick setup. For manual focusing, lower the laser head with the focus stick until it reaches the correct working distance from the cork surface.
STEP04
Frame the Design and Start Laser Engraving
Use the Frame function to check the engraving area and confirm that the design stays within the cork coaster.
Once everything is aligned, start the laser engraving job. Stay near the machine and monitor the process to ensure the engraved details remain clean and even.
STEP05
Complete the Task
After engraving, remove the cork coaster from the laser bed and check whether the engraved design is clear.
Gently clean away any surface residue if needed. Your personalized cork coaster is now ready for daily use, desk decoration, or gifting.
