Introduction

Still pondering what to create with your laser machine?

Check out this transparent acrylic weekly planner. The etched white letters and designs stand out clearly against the transparent acrylic background, creating a clean and modern look.

You can write your weekly plans with a marker, wipe them clean, and reuse the planner again and again. Let’s enjoy the fun of building practical things with lasers.

Before your work begins

Clean the lens and mirrors
Check the laser head and nozzle for dust or buildup
Ensure ventilation and air assist are working properly
Confirm the machine is running smoothly and normally

Operational Process

STEP01

Prepare & Position the Material

Prepare the acrylic sheet and place it flat on the laser bed. Make sure the surface is clean and stable so the engraved planner text and cut outline stay accurate.

Secure the acrylic if needed to prevent shifting during engraving and cutting, especially when processing fine text, planner lines, and decorative details.

STEP02

Import & Adjust the Design File

Import the acrylic weekly planner design file into LightBurn, then adjust the size, position, engraving settings, and cutting settings according to your acrylic sheet.

Double-check the weekly layout, engraved text, decorative elements, and cutting outline before starting. Make sure all details fit within the usable acrylic area.

Set the Correct Laser Focus

Accurate focusing is important for achieving clear engraving and clean cutting edges on acrylic. If your machine has auto focus, use it for quick setup. For manual focusing, lower the laser head with the focus stick until it touches the acrylic surface at the correct angle.

STEP04

Start Engraving & Cutting

Use the Frame function to outline the laser processing area. Make sure the projected frame matches your acrylic sheet and the weekly planner design stays within the material boundary.

Once everything is aligned, start the laser job. Stay near the machine while it’s running and monitor the engraving and cutting process carefully.

Post Processing

When the engraving and cutting are complete, carefully remove the acrylic weekly planner from the laser bed.

Wipe away dust and residue from the acrylic surface. After cleaning, you can write your weekly plan with a marker and erase it when needed, making the planner reusable for future schedules.
