Key Information
Introduction
Are you still looking for what you can make with a laser?
Try giving a reusable fabric notebook a small custom change. A fabric cover feels more formal than a paper cover and is great for recording important notes, plans, and ideas.
With laser engraving, you can add names, patterns, simple artwork, or personal text to the notebook cover and make it feel more unique.
Before your work begins
Operational Process
Prepare & Position the Notebook
Place the fabric notebook flat on the laser bed and make sure the cover surface is clean and smooth.
Secure the notebook if needed so it does not shift during engraving. The design should also be adjusted according to the actual type and size of the material before processing.
Import & Adjust the Design File
Import the fabric notebook design file into LightBurn, then adjust the size, position, and engraving settings according to the notebook cover.
Check that the pattern, text, or personal artwork is placed within the desired engraving area before starting the laser job.
Set the Correct Laser Focus
Accurate focusing is important for clean engraving on fabric.
If your machine has auto focus, use it for quick setup. For manual focusing, lower the laser head with the focus stick until it reaches the correct working distance from the notebook cover.
Frame the Design and Start Laser Engraving
Use the Frame function to check the engraving area and confirm that the design stays within the fabric notebook cover.
Once everything is aligned, start the laser engraving job. Stay near the machine and monitor the process to avoid excessive marking or heat buildup on the fabric cover.
Complete the Task
After engraving, remove the notebook from the laser bed and check whether the engraved design is clear.
Gently clean away any surface residue if needed. Your personalized fabric notebook is now ready for work, study, notes, or gifting.
Come and Try!
A notebook is an important tool for work and daily life. Compared with paper covers, fabric covers often feel more formal and durable.
Since a fabric notebook may be used to record important things, it deserves a more personal design. Try customizing yours with laser engraving.
