Before your work begins
Operational Process
Prepare & Position the Material
Choose colorful 1mm non-woven fabric and place it flat on the laser honeycomb bed. A flat surface helps keep the cutting path accurate and the fabric layers clean.
Secure the fabric gently if needed to prevent shifting during cutting, especially when working with multiple colors and thin layered pieces.
Import & Adjust the Design File
Import the ornaments design into LightBurn and check whether your non-woven fabric size is large enough. For a design with many elements, make sure there are no misalignments or unnecessary overlaps.
Double-check the laser cutting parameters before starting. Each layer can represent a different fabric color, so you can create your own patterns and color combinations.
Set the Correct Laser Focus
Accurate focusing is important for achieving clean cutting edges on non-woven fabric. If your machine has auto focus, use it for quick setup. For manual focusing, lower the laser head with the focus stick until it touches the fabric surface at the correct angle.
Start Cutting
Use the Frame function to outline the laser cutting area. Make sure the projected frame matches your non-woven fabric and the design stays within the material boundary.
Once everything is aligned, start the laser job. Stay near the machine while it’s running and monitor the cutting process carefully to avoid movement, smoke buildup, or alarms.
Post Processing
When the laser cutting is complete, carefully remove the non-woven fabric pieces from the laser bed. Check that each layer is cleanly cut and ready for assembly.
Assemble the fabric layers to create a colorful ornament. Once the pieces are aligned and secured, your non-woven fabric ornament is ready to decorate your room.
Come and Try!
Laser cutting non-woven fabric ornaments is perfect for home décor, especially when you're enjoying a family bonding moment.
You can use different colors, patterns, and layered combinations to create a one-of-a-kind room style with soft, decorative fabric ornaments.
