Before your work begins

Clean the lens and mirrors
Check the laser head and nozzle for dust or buildup
Ensure ventilation and air assist are working properly
Confirm the machine is running smoothly and normally

Operational Process

STEP01

Prepare & Position the Material

Choose flat sheets of colorful paper and place them gently on the laser honeycomb bed without wrinkling them.

Flat magnets or painter’s tape are great for holding colorful paper in place and preventing movement during cutting.

STEP02

Import & Adjust the Design File

Import the bookmark design into LightBurn and check whether your paper size is large enough.

Double-check the layout and make sure the cutting parameters are set correctly. Pay extra attention to the minimum power setting so the corners cut cleanly without rough edges.

STEP03

Set the Correct Laser Focus

Accurate focusing is important for achieving clean cutting results on paper. If your machine has auto focus, use it for quick setup. For manual focusing, lower the laser head with the focus stick until it touches the paper surface at the correct angle.

STEP04

Start Cutting

Use the Frame function to outline the laser cutting area. Make sure the projected frame matches your paper sheet and the design stays within the material boundary.

Once everything is aligned, start the laser job. Stay near the machine while it’s running and monitor the cutting progress carefully.

Post Processing

When the laser cutting is complete, carefully remove the colorful paper bookmarks from the laser bed.

No special treatment is required. Simply take them out, lightly wipe away any dust from the surface, and use painter’s tape for quick cleanup of paper scraps from the honeycomb bed.
