In recent years, science and technology education activities have been promoted across China, with teenagers becoming an important group for future innovation education. Students are encouraged to develop their abilities in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and art, while improving their comprehensive quality and creativity.
On May 6, 2017, STEAM course tutor Luke held an entertaining children’s creative course at the International Medical Center of Shenzhen Software Industrial Park. The course received positive feedback and gave children a hands-on opportunity to experience creative making with laser technology.
Turning Children’s Ideas Into Creative Works
This course was designed around children’s interests and imagination. Drawing was one important part of the activity: children were encouraged to express their ideas through pictures, and then use a laser system to turn those drawings into art crafts.
Through this process, students could see how an idea can move from imagination to design and finally become a physical object. It also helped them explore the connection between creativity, technology, and hands-on practice.
Building Confidence Through STEAM Learning
Recognition and encouragement are important for children. During the course, students showed confidence, smiles, and pride as they completed their works. Using an easy-to-operate and multifunctional laser system helped raise their interest in creative technology and gave them a stronger sense of achievement.
Creation maker education can begin with small works. Each step of learning, experimenting, and making helps children build the ability to think, create, and solve problems.
Supporting Creative Education With Laser Technology
Thunder Laser has continued to support creative education activities that help children develop broader abilities. By combining laser systems with STEAM learning, students can better understand how knowledge and imagination can be used to make real objects.
Thunder Laser hopes to contribute to children’s creative growth through maker education, practical learning, and laser technology. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and Thunder Laser looks forward to meeting more young makers at future maker space activities.
