From May 19 to 21, 2017, Thunder Laser held a college student innovation and entrepreneurship event at Guangdong Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Technology. The activity was a success and attracted strong attention from both college leaders and students.
By introducing students to maker space concepts and practical laser system applications, the event helped broaden their understanding of hands-on creation, innovation, and entrepreneurship. It also provided an opportunity to share Thunder Laser’s ideas for building and supporting maker spaces.
Encouraging Students to Create, Explore, and Share
A maker space gives students a place to create, explore their imagination, develop practical skills, and turn ideas into real projects. It also encourages young people to express themselves and take meaningful steps toward achieving their dreams.
For college students, this activity offered a valuable chance to discover something new. Through laser exploration, students could learn how laser systems work, understand what laser technology can do, and use their imagination to create their own works.
Just do it and share it. The works students create show their confidence, creativity, and willingness to put ideas into practice.
Supporting Innovation Education Through Practice
We sincerely thank the college teachers for their support and recognition. As they noted, activities like this can help college students broaden their horizons, expand their interests, and inspire creative ideas.
At the same time, on-site activities help students better understand knowledge from textbooks by connecting theory with hands-on experience. This practical learning process can improve comprehension and encourage students to explore new possibilities.
Thunder Laser organized this maker space activity at Guangdong Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Technology to popularize laser knowledge among students interested in innovation and maker space development. The event introduced topics such as what lasers can do, what laser systems are, and how laser technology can connect with students’ creative projects.
We also hope this activity helped enrich students’ campus life and support innovation education through diverse practical experiences. The successful event not only had a positive impact on Thunder Laser, but also made a meaningful difference for students who want to combine personal interests with the college’s innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
See you next time at Thunder Laser Maker Space!
