Introduction

Want to turn an everyday watch strap into a personalized accessory?

Laser marking on liquid silicone rubber watch straps adds clean, precise, and durable designs that help each strap stand out. Custom patterns, symbols, or signature elements can turn a simple strap into a bold statement of style and individuality.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to position the watch strap, import the marking file, set the correct focus, frame the design, and complete a personalized liquid silicone rubber watch strap with Aurora Lite.

Operational Process

STEP01

Prepare & Position the Watch Strap

Place the liquid silicone rubber watch strap on the laser bed.

Since the strap surface may not sit perfectly level, place a wooden block underneath the watch strap to support it and keep the marking area flat. A level surface helps achieve cleaner and more consistent laser marking results.

STEP02

Import & Adjust the Marking File

Load your design into LightBurn software, then adjust its size and position to fit the liquid silicone rubber watch strap.

Check that the laser marking parameters are set correctly before starting. Make sure the design is aligned with the actual marking area so the final pattern appears centered and clean.

STEP03

Set the Correct Laser Focus

Missing the focus is one of the biggest reasons for laser marking failure. Make sure the watch strap surface is properly focused before processing.

You can use auto focus or manual focus. When two red dots are visible on the strap, it is out of focus. When the two light dots overlap each other, the surface is in focus.

Frame the Design & Start Laser Marking

Press the frame button and check whether the red light indicates the correct marking area. The frame should be located in the middle of the liquid silicone rubber watch strap.

If the frame is not aligned, adjust the design position until it fits correctly. After checking, close the laser door and begin the Aurora Lite laser marking process.

Post Processing

Stay near the machine during operation and monitor for unusual sounds or alarms. Avoid looking directly at the laser beam for too long, even when protective measures are in place.

Once laser marking is complete, carefully open the door and remove your personalized liquid silicone rubber watch strap. Check the details and clean the strap gently if any residue remains.
