Introduction
Looking to elevate your earring jewelry designs with a personal and professional touch?
Laser marking offers an elegant way to transform simple earrings into wearable art. With clean precision, you can add delicate butterfly patterns, fine decorative details, or custom designs to create jewelry pieces with stronger visual identity.
In this tutorial, you will learn how to position the gold brushed hoop earrings, import and adjust the design file, check the marking settings, set the correct focus, frame the design, and complete custom butterfly earrings with Aurora Lite.
Before your work begins
Operational Process
Prepare & Position the Earrings
Place the gold brushed hoop earrings on the laser plate, preferably close to the center of the plate.
Since the earrings are flat, no additional fixture is required. Just make sure they are placed in the same direction as your design so the marking aligns correctly.
Import & Adjust the Design
Import the butterfly patterns into LightBurn, then adjust the size to match your earrings.
Arrange the lace-like butterfly design according to the shape of the earrings to create a light and elegant look. For positioning, draw the outline of the earrings with a frame tool layer. Since hoop earrings include two circles, measure and draw them with the circle tool, then use the ruler tool to confirm the placement.
Check the Marking Settings
Set the fill mode before processing. Cross-hatching is a common method for creating a more uniform pattern when using laser marking machines.
Metal jewelry usually requires a high DPI for fine detail. In this project, the DPI is set to 1270. Before starting, confirm that the layer settings and marking parameters are correct.
Set the Correct Laser Focus
Focusing is an important step before starting. If you forget to focus, the marking result may fail.
You can use auto focus or manual focus. For auto focus, press the AF button on the machine. For manual focus, make sure the bottom of the focal stick touches the earrings correctly.
Frame the Design & Start Laser Marking
Press the frame button, and the safe visible red light will show the area to be marked. The frame should fall on the earrings.
If the frame does not align with the earrings, adjust the jewelry or pattern position until they overlap. Once confirmed, close the door and press Start to begin Aurora Lite’s laser marking process.
Post Processing
Do not leave the machine unattended while it is running. Watch for alarms, unusual noises, or other abnormal conditions during the process.
Because the laser energy is strong, avoid staring directly at the marking point for too long, even when the door is closed. When marking is complete, open the door and enjoy your finished butterfly earrings.
Come and Try!
The result is more than just a pair of earrings. It is a blend of precision and personality.
The delicate golden butterflies shimmer with light and meaning, turning everyday accessories into unforgettable statements. Whether for yourself, a boutique collection, or someone special, laser-marked earrings let each detail speak to your creativity and craftsmanship.
