Introduction

Let’s start laser marking silver rings with a touch of strength and personal style.

Laser marking brings meaningful words, dates, symbols, or short messages to life on silver rings, turning simple bands into lasting personal statements. Whether it is a bold name, a powerful motto, or a shared memory, each marked detail adds purpose and personality.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to secure the silver rings in a jig, import the marking file, set the correct focus, frame the design, and complete personalized silver rings with Aurora Fiber.

Operational Process

STEP01

Prepare & Position the Silver Rings

Use a jig to keep the silver ring flat and stable before laser marking.

In this project, a jig is made from 5mm basswood board. The bottom layer is a rectangle, and the top layer has a ring-sized hole in the center. After gluing the layers together, place the ring into the hole and check that it is level before marking.

STEP02

Import & Adjust the Marking File

Load your design into LightBurn software, then adjust the size and position to fit the silver rings.

This file includes a laser marking layer and a frame layer. The marking layer creates the design on the silver surface, while the frame layer helps align the design with the edge of the ring.

STEP03

Set the Correct Laser Focus

Missing the focus is one of the biggest reasons for laser marking failure. Make sure the silver ring surface is properly focused before processing.

You can use auto focus or manual focus. When the focus is accurate, the marked details will appear cleaner and more consistent on the ring surface.

STEP04

Frame the Design & Start Laser Marking

Press the frame button and check whether the red light indicates the correct marking area. The frame should fit the silver rings.

If the frame is not aligned, adjust the design position until it fits correctly. After checking, close the laser door and begin the Aurora Fiber laser marking process.

Post Processing

Stay near the machine during operation and monitor for unusual sounds or alarms. Avoid looking directly at the laser beam for too long, even when protective measures are in place.

Once laser marking is complete, carefully open the door and remove the personalized silver rings. Clean the marked surface gently before wearing, gifting, or displaying them.
