Introduction

Our phones and watches are accessories we carry daily, so why not craft a dual stand to keep them organized?

This 2-in-1 design features a slot for charging cables below the phone dock and gaps to loop watch bands through for secure display. It combines storage with easy access for checking time and using your devices.

The angled phone cradle props your phone upright, while your watch rests neatly alongside it for a clean and practical desk setup.

Before your work begins

Clean the lens and mirrors
Check the laser head and nozzle for dust or buildup
Ensure ventilation and air assist are working properly
Confirm the machine is running smoothly and normally

Operational Process

STEP01

Prepare & Position the Material

Prepare a piece of wood and place it flat on the laser bed. A clean, stable surface helps keep the engraved details sharp and the cut edges accurate.

Secure the wood if needed to prevent shifting during engraving and cutting, especially when processing narrow slots, cable openings, and watch band gaps.

STEP02

Import & Adjust the Design File

Import the phone and watch stand file into LightBurn, then adjust the size, position, and settings according to your wood material.

Double-check the engraving and cutting layers before starting. Make sure the phone cradle, cable slot, watch band gaps, and assembly parts are correctly placed.

Set the Correct Laser Focus

Accurate focusing is important for achieving detailed engraving and clean cutting edges on wood. If your machine has auto focus, use it for quick setup. For manual focusing, lower the laser head with the focus stick until it touches the wood surface at the correct angle.

Start Engraving & Cutting

Use the Frame function to outline the laser processing area. Make sure the projected frame matches your wood piece and the stand design stays within the material boundary.

Once everything is aligned, start the laser job. Stay near the machine while it’s running and monitor the engraving and cutting process carefully.

Post Processing

When the engraving and cutting are complete, carefully remove the stand pieces from the laser bed.

Use sandpaper to smooth the surface and remove any burrs. Then apply wood wax oil with a brush, spread it evenly with a sponge, and assemble the pieces to complete the phone and watch stand.
