Operational Process

STEP01

Prepare & Position the Material

Choose a piece of acrylic and draw on it with permanent markers. White acrylic is a great choice because it creates strong contrast and helps your artwork stand out.

Place the drawn acrylic board flat on the laser honeycomb bed and make sure it stays stable during camera tracing and cutting.

STEP02

Import & Adjust the Design File

Use the camera to recognize the hand-drawn pattern on the acrylic. Move the laser head away from the acrylic first, so it does not block the pattern that needs to be captured.

After the camera view is ready, trace the pattern and adjust the threshold until the outlines are complete and uninterrupted. Then offset the outlines outward to create a clean cutting path around your artwork.

Set the Correct Laser Focus

Accurate focusing is important for achieving clean cutting edges on acrylic. If your machine has auto focus, use it for quick setup. For manual focusing, lower the laser head with the focus stick until it touches the acrylic surface at the correct angle.

Start Cutting

Check that the cutting parameters are set correctly. If the minimum power is too low, the corners may not cut through; if it is too high, the corners may look rough.

Preview the cut position on the screen and make sure the cut profile matches the camera-traced design. Once everything is aligned, start the laser cutting job and monitor the process carefully.

Post Processing

Once the acrylic laser cutting is complete, carefully remove the hand-drawn acrylic patches from the laser bed.

Use hot-melt glue to attach the patches onto canvas bags, backpacks, luggage straps, or other accessories. Once secured, your custom hand-drawn acrylic patch is ready to show off.
