Key Information
Introduction
Does your umbrella leave wet trails on the floor after rainy days?
This acrylic umbrella stand is designed to help solve that problem. It features a laser-cut umbrella silhouette and multiple small holes near the base to support airflow and water evaporation.
Functional and decorative, this custom acrylic stand helps keep umbrellas organized while adding a clean visual accent to your space.
Before your work begins
Operational Process
Prepare & Position the Material
Prepare the white acrylic sheet and place it flat on the laser bed. A clean, stable surface helps keep the umbrella silhouette and drainage holes accurately cut.
Secure the acrylic if needed to prevent shifting during cutting, especially when processing narrow shapes, slots, and small ventilation holes.
Import & Adjust the Design File
Import the acrylic umbrella stand file into LightBurn, then adjust the size, position, and cutting settings according to your acrylic sheet.
Double-check the umbrella silhouette, base pieces, and small hole details before starting. Make sure every component stays within the acrylic boundary.
Set the Correct Laser Focus
Accurate focusing is important for achieving clean cutting edges on acrylic. If your machine has auto focus, use it for quick setup. For manual focusing, lower the laser head with the focus stick until it touches the acrylic surface at the correct angle.
Start Cutting
Use the Frame function to outline the laser cutting area. Make sure the projected frame matches your acrylic sheet and the umbrella stand design stays within the material boundary.
Once everything is aligned, start the laser job. Stay near the machine while it’s running and monitor the cutting process carefully.
Post Processing
When all components are cut, carefully remove the acrylic pieces from the laser bed.
Apply glue to the joints, then assemble the acrylic components together. Let the glue dry completely, and your custom acrylic umbrella stand is ready to use.
Come and Try!
Picture placing your dripping umbrella into this stylish custom stand after returning home. The cut-out structure and small holes help support drainage and airflow.
More than just functional, the umbrella outline gives this stand a decorative look, making it useful as a sculptural accent even when it is not holding umbrellas.
