Before your work begins
Operational Process
Prepare & Position the Wood
Prepare the plywood sheet and place it flat on the laser working table.
Keep the wood sheet stable before cutting. The design should also be adjusted according to the actual type and size of the material before processing.
Import & Adjust the Design File
Draw or prepare the bookend design file in CorelDraw, then switch to the laser software using the laser plug-in.
Set the proper cutting parameters in the laser software, then click Download to transfer the design to your laser cutting machine.
Set the Correct Laser Focus
Move the laser head to the correct starting position and adjust the focal distance before cutting.
After focusing, press Origin on the control panel to set the starting position. Accurate focusing helps achieve cleaner paper cutting results.
Frame the Design & Start Laser Cutting
Use the Frame function to check the cutting area and confirm that the bookend design stays within the paper.
Once everything is aligned, press Start to begin laser cutting. Stay near the machine and monitor the cutting process carefully.
Post Processing
After cutting, carefully remove the pieces and check that the cut details are clean.
Fold, glue, or assemble the pieces as needed to complete the bookends. Once finished, they can help keep books neater on a desk or shelf.
Come and Try!
Bookends are useful for keeping books neat, organized, and easy to display on a desk or shelf.
With a laser cutter, you can turn a simple sheet into a custom bookend design and add a practical handmade touch to your reading or study space.
