Hi, I'm Clyde from I Am Green. Since establishing the company in 2008, my goal has been to provide high-quality, sustainable, and locally made promotional products. We’ve grown considerably, now offering close to 700 items, and this expansion highlighted the critical need for robust and reliable production equipment. What inspired you to buy a laser?

My background is in the promotional product industry, and the business really took off around the idea of offering eco-friendly alternatives made from recycled materials.

We’ve always prioritized local production and are strong advocates for reducing reliance on imported, low-cost goods.

For equipment, we had been using an older laser machine since 2013. While it served its purpose for a while, it eventually became a significant bottleneck. A major order came in—3,000 units with just eight weeks to produce them—and our existing machine was taking an astonishing 80 minutes to engrave a single item. That simply wasn’t feasible for meeting the deadline.

This challenge pushed me to look for a better solution. I desperately needed a faster, more efficient laser, one that came with reliable local support—something we sorely lacked with our previous overseas supplier.

He answered all our questions thoroughly and even ran engraving tests to demonstrate exactly how the machine would perform with our specific materials.

We quickly realized that the money we would have spent outsourcing such a large job could instead be used to invest in a brand-new laser. The machine fit perfectly within our budget.
