Thunder Laser Launches Thunder CO2 Galvo Marker for High-Speed Non-Metal Production

2026-10-09

Built for Speed. Open for Possibility. The new open-format 60W RF CO₂ galvo workstation combines high-speed scanning, repeatable positioning, and flexible workpiece access for professional non-metal processing.

DONGGUAN, China — October 9, 2026 — Thunder Laser today announced the launch of the Thunder CO2 Galvo Marker, an open-format 60W RF CO₂ laser workstation designed for high-speed marking, engraving, and light processing of non-metal materials.

Combining galvo scanning speeds of up to 3,000 mm/s Fill, ±0.05 mm repeatability, a standard 300 × 300 mm processing field, four-side open access, and a fixture-ready worktable, the new system is designed for personalization businesses, laser job shops, packaging and light-production workstations, and other professional users handling repeat non-metal processing.

Rather than replacing Thunder's existing gantry CO₂ systems, the Thunder CO2 Galvo Marker adds a dedicated high-speed workstation for scan-heavy jobs, repeat production, and workpieces that benefit from greater loading and fixturing flexibility.

Key Highlights

  • High-Speed Galvo Processing — Up to 3,000 mm/s Fill speed, 1,000 mm/s Line speed, and 3,000 mm/s Jump speed support efficient processing for repetitive marking and engraving jobs.
  • 60W RF CO₂ for Non-Metal Applications — The air-cooled RF CO₂ laser is suited to a broad range of non-metal materials, including wood, bamboo, paper and packaging, leather, acrylic, glass, textiles, laser-safe rubber, and selected coated materials.
  • Open-Format Workstation — Four-side open access, 580 mm motorized Z travel, and up to 398 mm processing height provide greater flexibility for tall, long, irregular, and already-assembled workpieces.
  • Built for Repeatable Production — A 640 × 425 mm perforated aluminum worktable, ±0.05 mm repeatability, and fixture-ready design support consistent positioning and batch processing.
  • Flexible Field Options — The standard 300 × 300 mm field can be configured with optional 200 × 200 mm or 100 × 100 mm field lenses, allowing users to select a processing area suited to different jobs.
  • Production-Friendly Workflow — Dual red-light focusing, motorized Z adjustment, rotary compatibility, and support for LightBurn and EZCAD2 help simplify setup across different workpieces and production tasks.

Applications and Ideal Users

The Thunder CO2 Galvo Marker is designed for professional users who need fast, repeatable processing of non-metal products.

It is particularly suited for:

  • Personalization & Gift Businesses — Names, logos, graphics, and custom designs on wood products, leather goods, gifts, and accessories.
  • Leather & Apparel-Accessory Businesses — Patches, labels, tags, and other laser-safe soft-material products.
  • Sign & Promotional Product Shops — Logos, graphics, and personalized designs on acrylic, wood, coated materials, and other CO₂-compatible substrates.
  • Packaging & Light-Production Workstations — Repeat marking and engraving of packaging components, product surfaces, and other non-metal parts.
  • Laser Job Shops — Short-run, custom, and batch processing where flexible workpiece access and repeatable positioning are important.
  • Existing Thunder CO₂ Users — A dedicated workstation for high-frequency marking and engraving, allowing gantry CO₂ systems to remain available for larger-format cutting and processing.

A Dedicated Tool for High-Frequency Non-Metal Work

The Thunder CO2 Galvo Marker brings a different workflow to Thunder Laser's CO₂ portfolio. While gantry CO₂ systems remain well suited to large-format and heavier processing, the new galvo workstation is designed around repetitive non-metal marking, engraving, and light processing.

Its open-format design also allows users to work with products that may be difficult to position inside a conventional enclosed galvo system, including taller, longer, irregular, and already-assembled products. The processing field itself remains determined by the selected field lens.

“The Thunder CO2 Galvo Marker was developed for customers who need a more specialized tool for repetitive non-metal work,” said Amy, the manager of Thunder Laser Marketing Team. “By combining high-speed galvo scanning with an open-format design and a workflow built for repeat production, we wanted to give professional users more flexibility in how they handle everyday marking and engraving jobs.”

Availability

The Thunder CO2 Galvo Marker is launching with a 60W air-cooled RF CO₂ laser source and a standard 300 × 300 mm processing field. Optional 200 × 200 mm and 100 × 100 mm field lenses and rotary processing capabilities are also available.
