Introduction

Let’s make your axe as tough and distinctive as you are.

Laser marking can add your name, logo, or custom artwork directly onto the coated metal axe head. This helps your tool stand out on busy job sites, reduces mix-ups, and adds a personalized touch for outdoor use, woodworking, DIY projects, or custom tool sales.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to position the coated metal axe, import the marking file, set the correct focus, frame the design, and complete a personalized axe with Aurora Lite.

Operational Process

STEP01

Prepare & Position the Coated Metal Axe

Place the coated metal axe on the laser bed with the marking area facing upward.

Make sure the axe is stable before processing. A secure setup helps the laser mark stay aligned on the metal head and prevents movement during the job.

STEP02

Import & Adjust the Marking File

Load your design into LightBurn software, then adjust the size and position to fit the axe head.

Check the name, logo, or artwork placement carefully. Then confirm that the laser marking parameters are set correctly before starting.

STEP03

Set the Correct Laser Focus

Missing the focus is one of the biggest reasons for laser marking failure. Make sure the coated metal axe surface is properly focused before processing.

You can use auto focus or manual focus. When the focus is accurate, the marked details will appear cleaner and more consistent on the axe surface.

STEP04

Frame the Design & Start Laser Marking

Press the frame button and check whether the red light indicates the correct marking area. The frame should be located in the correct position on the axe head.

If the frame is not aligned, adjust the design position until it fits correctly. After checking, close the laser door and begin the Aurora Lite laser marking process.

Post Processing

Stay near the machine during operation and monitor for unusual sounds or alarms. Avoid looking directly at the laser beam for too long, even when protective measures are in place.

Once laser marking is complete, carefully open the door and remove the personalized coated metal axe. Clean the marked surface gently if needed, then it is ready for use, display, or gifting.
