Introduction

Let’s turn a coated metal candy box into a unique statement piece.

Laser marking can add permanent logos, names, or custom designs with clean precision, making a simple candy box more stylish, personal, and gift-ready. It is a practical project for custom packaging, small gifts, event favors, or branded accessories.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to position the coated metal candy box, import the marking file, set the correct focus, frame the design, and complete a personalized candy box with Aurora Lite.

Operational Process

STEP01

Prepare & Position the Candy Box

Place the coated metal candy box on the laser bed with the marking surface facing upward.

Since the center area is flat, the candy box is well suited for laser marking. Make sure the surface is clean, level, and stable before processing.

STEP02

Import & Adjust the Marking File

Load your design into LightBurn software, then adjust the size and position to fit the candy box.

Check the logo, artwork, or text placement carefully. Then confirm that the laser marking parameters are set correctly before starting.

STEP03

Set the Correct Laser Focus

Missing the focus is one of the biggest reasons for laser marking failure. Make sure the candy box surface is properly focused before processing.

You can use auto focus or manual focus. When the focus is accurate, the marked details will appear cleaner and more consistent on the coated metal surface.

STEP04

Frame the Design & Start Laser Marking

Press the frame button and check whether the red light indicates the correct marking area. The frame should be located in the middle of the candy box.

If the frame is not aligned, adjust the design position until it fits correctly. After checking, close the laser door and begin the Aurora Lite laser marking process.

Post Processing

Stay near the machine during operation and monitor for unusual sounds or alarms. Avoid looking directly at the laser beam for too long, even when protective measures are in place.

Once laser marking is complete, carefully open the door and remove the personalized candy box. Clean the marked surface gently if needed, then it is ready for storage, gifting, or display.
