Introduction

Are you still looking for what you can make with a laser?

Try customizing a phone case in just a short time. A phone case protects your device every day, but a plain case may not feel unique enough.

With laser engraving, you can add a custom pattern, text, or artwork to the phone case and make it stand out while still keeping it practical.

Before your work begins

Clean the lens and mirrors
Check the laser head and nozzle for dust or buildup
Ensure ventilation and air assist are working properly
Confirm the machine is running smoothly and normally

Operational Process

STEP01

Prepare & Position the Phone Case

Place the phone case flat on the laser bed and make sure the engraving surface is clean and stable.

Secure the phone case if needed so it does not shift during engraving. The design should also be adjusted according to the actual type and size of the material before processing.

STEP02

Import & Adjust the Design File

Import the phone case design file into LightBurn, then adjust the size, position, and engraving settings according to the phone case surface.

Check that the artwork, text, or custom pattern is placed within the desired engraving area before starting the laser job.

Set the Correct Laser Focus

Accurate focusing is important for clean engraving on a phone case.

If your machine has auto focus, use it for quick setup. For manual focusing, lower the laser head with the focus stick until it reaches the correct working distance from the phone case surface.

Frame the Design and Start Laser Engraving

Use the Frame function to check the engraving area and confirm that the design stays within the phone case surface.

Once everything is aligned, start the laser engraving job. Stay near the machine and monitor the process to ensure the engraved details remain clean and even.
