Before your work begins
Operational Process
Prepare & Position the Material
Prepare the leather bottle opener and place the leather engraving area flat on the laser bed. A stable, even surface helps keep the engraved text and pattern clear.
Secure the bottle opener gently if needed to prevent shifting during engraving, while keeping the metal parts away from the active engraving area.
Import & Adjust the Design File
Import the bottle opener engraving file into LightBurn, then adjust the size, position, and engraving settings according to the leather grip area.
Double-check the text and graphic placement before starting. Make sure the custom design is centered and fits within the leather area you want to engrave.
Set the Correct Laser Focus
Accurate focusing is important for achieving clean engraving on leather. If your machine has auto focus, use it for quick setup. For manual focusing, lower the laser head with the focus stick until it touches the leather surface at the correct angle.
Start Engraving
Use the Frame function to outline the engraving area. Make sure the projected frame matches the leather grip area and the custom design stays within the selected boundary.
Once everything is aligned, start the laser job. Stay near the machine while it’s running and monitor the engraving process carefully.
Post Processing
When the engraving is complete, carefully remove the leather bottle opener from the laser bed.
Lightly clean the engraved leather surface if needed. Your custom double-headed bottle opener is ready to use or hang up as a practical wall decoration.
Come and Try!
When not in use, this DIY bottle opener doubles as an eye-catching wall decoration. You can hang it on a hook to showcase your handiwork.
It is both a functional tool and a conversation piece for your home bar or kitchen, perfect for beer enthusiasts, home bartenders, or anyone who loves personalized accessories.
