Before your work begins

Operational Process
STEP01
Prepare & Position the Material
Prepare the coco coir doormat and place it flat on the laser bed. Make sure the engraving surface is clean and as level as possible.
Secure the doormat if needed to prevent shifting during engraving. Because coir fibers are textured, stable positioning helps keep the engraved phrase and design clear.
STEP02
Import & Adjust the Design File
Import the doormat design file into LightBurn, then adjust the size, position, and engraving settings according to the doormat surface.
Double-check the welcome phrase, decorative pattern, and engraving area before starting. Make sure the design fits neatly within the usable area of the mat.
STEP03
Set the Correct Laser Focus
Accurate focusing is important for achieving readable engraving on a textured doormat. If your machine has auto focus, use it for quick setup. For manual focusing, adjust the laser head until the focus is set on the doormat surface at the correct engraving point.
STEP04
Start Engraving
Use the Frame function to outline the laser engraving area. Make sure the projected frame matches the doormat surface and the design stays within the selected boundary.
Once everything is aligned, start the laser job. Stay near the machine while it’s running and monitor the engraving process carefully.
STEP05
Post Processing
When the engraving is complete, carefully remove the doormat from the laser bed.
Gently shake or brush off loose fibers and dust from the engraved area. Your custom laser-engraved doormat is ready to welcome guests at the entrance.
