Introduction

Are you looking for a practical laser-cut project using both plywood and PET?

This project uses 5mm plywood and 1mm PET to create a useful handmade piece. Plywood provides the main structure, while PET can be used for a thin, lightweight, and flexible part of the design.

With laser cutting, you can create accurate parts from different materials and assemble them into a clean, functional project. Always test your settings first, especially when switching between plywood and PET.

Before your work begins

Clean the lens and mirrors
Check the laser head and nozzle for dust or buildup
Use proper ventilation and air assist during cutting
Test the settings before cutting the final project

Operational Process

STEP01

Prepare & Position the Materials

Prepare the 5mm plywood and 1mm PET, then place the material flat on the laser working table.

Keep the material stable before cutting. The design should also be adjusted according to the actual type and size of the material before processing.

Import & Adjust the Design File

Draw or prepare the plywood and PET design file in CorelDraw, then switch to the laser software using the laser plug-in.

Set the proper cutting parameters for PET, then click Download to transfer the design to your laser cutting machine. Test plywood settings separately before cutting the final project.
